General health check-up and eye camp

A huge event organized by The Rotary and well attended by the community. 153 adults and children, which included several families from another neighboring community, took advantage of this free camp. Those who required prescription glasses were given for free. A few who need further investigation with various specialists will be helped by us in the next few weeks.

The grand opening of The Banyan Tree Park – our biggest project to date!

August 11, 2024 was a super fun morning with the community coming together, curious to find out how a once neglected swamp had turned out. Of course, they couldn’t believe what they saw! The children who had been eagerly waiting for months got to play their first kabaddi game in the new outdoor court and several gardening enthusiasts planted fruit trees in the community kitchen garden!

Our boy brings home trophies!

Ajit Pandya, a 17-year-old, who had introduced himself when we met him two years ago as ‘a cricketer’ was at best average at his game. But after two years of consistent practice at the prestigious Padukone Dravid Center for Sports Excellence (CSE), he is on top of his game! At a recently held annual tournament, he won trophies for ‘Man of the Match’ and ‘Game Changer’, for turning things around for a losing team that ended up winning!

Manya was invited to speak about The Anugraha Project – The Speaker at a corporate event

A seminar on personal branding and certification held in honor of International Women’s Day in March 2024. Hosted by Laureate Global, a business management and consulting firm, the event drew numerous corporate participants. At just 17, Manya was the youngest speaker in the event’s history. She effectively drew parallels between managing her NGO, The Anugraha Project, and running a corporate organization. Her presentation was highly praised, with attendees eagerly absorbing the information.

Pre-school and shipping container classrooms get a facelift

The pre-school got a facelift 4th, 10th and 11th February 2024 – several high school students from across Bangalore school spent two weekends painting and bringing cheer to the community.
